Why is that when we're younger, we dread taking naps..and as we get older, we'd give anything for a 15 minute snooze with peace and quiet?
For me, naps are a luxury. With two kids, ages 5 and 8, there is no time to catch some zzzzz's during the day. I do look forward to football season, though, because Sundays are big family football days at our house, and 9 times out of 10, I fall asleep in the afternoon watching the games. So bring on the football! Go Packers! |

At 57, for the most part of my life I have taken naps whenever possible. I believe the body lets us know when we are tired and napping restores us to our 'perfect' selves.
Again this is just my belief. |

Daytime napping can be restorative. With the exception of when I'm at work - I never resist a power nap when my eyelids get heavy. wouldn't it be great for work to be like kindegarten and we could all have a short rest period each afternoon?
